It was just a great match for a stopover in Burford with very good value for money. The staff were incredible and attentive during our entire stay. If you have an electric car, check charging options in advance.

charming burford stay with easy access to parks and landmarks
My stay was delightful, with the stunning Kilkenny Lane Country Park just a short drive away and the interesting Tolsey museum only a few steps from the hotel, making it perfect for strolls through town and exploring local history. the cozy atmosphere of the lounge area with the fireplace added to the charming experience, inviting me to unwind after a day of adventuring. Ask about the charming afternoon tea service, which is a delightful experience and not always highlighted in the menu.

The garden room was beautifully spacious and welcoming, ideal for our dogs.
Dinner options were limited, and gluten-free choices were poorly communicated.

Great location and tasty breakfast!
Really loved the vibe here! The location was spot-on. The breakfast spread was super tasty, and the staff were very friendly. Just had a small issue with slow service at dinner. we waited ages for our food. Would’ve been nice if they paid a bit more attention to that.

Cozy atmosphere with rustic decor and log fires that create a warm vibe in the evenings. The hotel is conveniently located within a short walk of Burford’s charming high street.
Expectations for amenities fell short. Tap water offered instead of sealed bottled water next to the bed made us hesitate to drink it, while milk left unchilled and the lack of a mini fridge for a four-star stay felt disappointing. Stairs can be a challenge, especially when lugging bags, and the absence of information on nearby electric car charging points was frustrating. Breakfast served only one cup of coffee, which could definitely be improved for a better start to the day. Some rooms, despite their charm, could use a bit of sprucing up.
